I keep seeing signs that Spring is coming and this week, the time change has certainly made it seem much closer. However, the extreme swing in temperatures is a bit discouraging. It was 40 something yesterday and this morning we woke up to 6 below zero! A nearly 50 degree temperature difference in less than 24 hours. Yes, that’s beautiful Northern Michigan for you.
One of our favorite things to do this year is visit Frederik Meijer Gardens & Sculpture Park in Grand Rapids, Michigan for the annual Butterflies Are Blooming Exhibition. It is absolutely incredible and if you are within driving distance, it is really a must see. It is the largest temporary tropical butterfly exhibit in the nation. The Gardens are beautiful year round and there is always so much to see but the exhibit from March 1st through April 30th is a great way to start the Spring season.
