4th of July Recipes – Red, White, and Blue Buffalo Chicken Dip

The 4th of July is just around the corner and we’ve been playing with some fun 4th of July Recipes for our annual 4th of July celebration.  This isn’t your typical bright red, white, and blue recipe but it has a fun patriotic feel!  The red buffalo sauce, the white cream cheese mixture, and the blue cheese give this dish color when served with blue corn tortillas!

4th of July Recipes – Red, White, and Blue Buffalo Chicken Dip

Ingredients:

  • 1 can shredded chicken breast
  • 1 bottle of buffalo sauce
  • 4 oz fat free cream cheese
  • 1/4 cup fat free ranch dressing
  • 4.5 oz crumbled blue cheese
  • blue corn tortilla chips
  • 1 celery stalk

Instructions:

Open and drain the chicken breast well.  Use a fork to separate and break apart the meat.

Add approximately 1/2 cup of buffalo sauce the the chicken breast and mix well.  Spread the chicken mixture into the bottom of a glass serving dish.

Let the cream cheese come to room temperature so that it is softened.  Mix it with the ranch dressing until smooth.  Spread this over the top of the chicken in the serving dish.

Evenly cover the cream cheese mixture with a coating of buffalo sauce.

Sprinkle the crumbled blue cheese over the top of the dip.  If you do not like blue cheese, you could substitute a shredded white cheese or another crumbled cheese such as feta.

Cross cut 1 stalk of celery into 1/4″ slices place in the center of your prepared dip for not only garnish but added texture and flavor.

Serve this delicious dip warm or cold with blue corn tortilla chips for a festive snack at your 4th of July cook out or party!

We absolutely love buffalo wings and this is a great dip for satisfying a wing craving, is healthier, and less mess to make and eat!
